Privacy policy

What V Sound needs, where information is stored and how to manage your choices.

V Sound is an independent app. It is not an official VK app, is not affiliated with VK and does not act on its behalf. Third-party names are used only to describe compatibility.

About this policy

This policy describes data processing in V Sound, at app.vsound.online and when you contact support. For privacy questions, email igor.komarov98@icloud.com.

The app uses music providers, its own server for certain features, and third-party advertising and analytics services. The data required depends on the feature you use.

Sign-in and your music account

When signing in through a VK web page, you enter your details on the provider’s page. The app uses the resulting session to communicate with the music service. Access credentials are saved in iOS Keychain; the web session may use cookies and WebKit storage on the device.

With direct sign-in, music requests go from your device to the provider. If server-based sign-in is used, the server receives an access token, user identifier and technical client parameters, and stores the token encrypted. Your password is not saved on our server. Your music-account password, cookies and access token are not sent to the benefits service.

Search and playback requests, collection changes and playlist actions are sent to the music provider. If you choose a photo for a playlist cover, that selected image is uploaded to the provider. This feature does not give the app access to your entire photo library.

Data on your device

Your device stores settings, collection and playlist information, artwork, player state, selected Mix preferences, downloaded audio and download records. Progress for rewarded advertising is also stored locally. This supports the interface, playback and access to saved music.

Session credentials and the local benefits-profile cache are stored separately. Signing out of your music account does not mean that downloads or the server-side benefits profile are deleted.

Invitations, promo codes and benefits

For invitations and promo codes, the app sends your music-account identifier to our server. The server creates an internal profile identifier and a separate session. It stores your invitation code, the relationship between inviter and invitee, promo-code redemptions, granted benefits, their expiry dates and operation dates.

This information restores your benefit status, applies promotion limits and prevents duplicate rewards for the same request. This service does not receive your music-account password, cookies or access token.

The benefits service shares server infrastructure with other apps from the developer. Profiles are identified by the music-account identifier: if you use that account in another app connected to the same service, invitation history and benefits may be shared.

Analytics and notifications

The app uses AppMetrica for usage statistics and error diagnostics. This includes technical device and app information, installation identifiers, IP address, launches, crashes and events involving app features, such as sign-in steps, playlist actions, completed downloads or earned benefits. Precise-location tracking is disabled in the app’s AppMetrica configuration.

Remote configuration may use technical installation and version information to deliver settings and in-app messages.

If you allow notifications, Apple Push Notification service (APNs) and AppMetrica Push process a device token to deliver notifications. The app also schedules local reminders. You can turn off notifications in iOS settings.

Details: AppMetrica data processing and the Yandex privacy policy.

Advertising and your choice

The app uses Yandex Mobile Ads SDK and the Liftoff Monetize (Vungle) advertising network through mediation to show ads and measure their performance. Advertising services may process IP addresses, device, app and network information, installation identifiers, ad impressions, clicks, completed views and diagnostics. This information also helps prevent invalid traffic. Processing depends on the network, ad format and available permissions.

Access to the IDFA advertising identifier and tracking across apps are governed by iOS App Tracking Transparency permission. You can decline or change your choice in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Declining does not turn off all advertising or technical analytics.

Rewarded ads start when you choose to watch them. The completion status is used to grant ad-free time. The advertising providers’ policies are available from Yandex and Liftoff / Vungle.

Website and support requests

When you visit the website or use the server, technical infrastructure receives your IP address, request time and path, and client information. This may appear in hosting and security logs. The site pages contain no embedded advertising or analytics scripts, external fonts or data-collection forms. Choosing a language follows a link and does not require a cookie.

If Cloudflare is used to deliver the site and protect connections, it processes the relevant traffic and may use technical security cookies. See the Cloudflare privacy policy.

When you email support, we process your sender address, message, attachments and information needed to respond. Do not send passwords, verification codes, cookies or tokens. Hide unnecessary personal details in screenshots.

Storage and sharing

Data is used to provide requested features, support, diagnostics, security and advertising as described above. Hosting, email and the listed SDK providers may access data needed for their services. Music providers process information under their own rules. These providers may use infrastructure in different countries; their policies explain their applicable practices.

Local data remains until removed through available app features or iOS controls. Keychain data may remain after the app is deleted. Server records about your profile, invitations, promo codes and benefits are not automatically deleted when you sign out. A session or benefit expiring does not immediately erase all related records. Contact support to request deletion.

Technical logs and support messages may be retained for diagnostics, disputed rewards and service protection. Third-party retention is governed by provider policies and service settings. When handling a request, we will clarify which information can be removed and what must be kept under applicable requirements.

Access, corrections and deletion

You can sign out, manage downloads, turn off notifications and change tracking permission. To request access, correction or deletion, email igor.komarov98@icloud.com. Mention V Sound and include the profile identifier shown in app settings, if available. A password or token is not needed for this request.

We may need to confirm your connection to the account to protect your data. Deleting app data does not delete your VK account or information independently processed by the music provider. If several apps share your benefits profile, a request may affect the shared status; this needs to be clarified when the request is handled.

Your available rights and the handling process depend on applicable law. This policy does not limit mandatory user rights. Changes are published on this page with an updated date.
